I have been very busy though!!

I have actually been doing quite a lot of crafting! And after my bad fall last year, I am back in the saddle, still nervous but getting there.

Tando Creative 3D Christmas Tree

I have been having fun playing with the 3D Christmas Tree from Tando Creative.
As my dining room is blue, I wanted something nice to have on the table on Xmas day. I have used Mica Sprays in Frosty Blue, silver and white to colour the chipboard and add a wee bit of stickles to the edges.
Some ribbons from our monthly kits and some bling finished this nicely.

Well OK it has been a while, lol!!!

But I have been busy! I had a bad accident a while ago when I fell off a horse and ended up badly twisting my pelvis and cracking a rib - OUCH! That put me out of action for a couple of months.
Other than that I did my first Hobbycrafts show at the SECC and had great fun! (thanks Linda and Debbi for all your help)
And generally keeping busy with the kids, dogs and website.

Recently I applied for a place on the Tando Creative Design Team and was delighted to be accepted! I stock lots of the Tando Creative chipboard designs and totally love them all!
I have attached some pics of Tando items that I have decorated

This is one of my favourites and I have used Mica Mists, Echo Park Papers and ribbons and spreayed it all with white Mica mist

Another Favourite - decorated with gorgeous My Mind's Eye papers, and have atted swirls and Dragonflies from Tando and a Prima blossom

Marianne Design Creatables

I love butterflies so when I spotted the Marianne Design Creatables Butterflies I could not resist buying some for the store and of course I had to try them out!!

I had to put a shim in my Cuttlebug (although this could be that I really do need new plates) and they cut beautifully.

I decided to make a little something for Lauren's room

I have used different shades of bazzill to cut the butterflies, mounted them on a handcut chipboard circle, and used lots of ribbon and Kaisercraft bling.

I decorated a Heart Wreath from Tando Creative with papers from Crate Paper - Pink Plum and added ribbons and Prima Fairytale Roses and of course some bling

Last Sunday Lauren and I took Emma to Chatelherault, on the way I kept saying not to worry as the rain would soon go off, errrrr NO!!! Anyway we still went for a walk and I took a few pics

Yesterday my little girl turned 10!!!!! I cannot believe it as it seems like yesterday that she was born.
She got lots of pressies - a Snow Leopard from Build a Bear and clothes for it, a gorgeous pink jumper, a top for riding and a pink tote full of goodies from her wee brother. She is loving to scrap just now and is coming to a crop with me on Sunday.
Next Saturday she is having a pony party and then we are having 10 girls back to the house (mmmmmmmm am I mad??????, lol!)

Last Monday I dragged - errrr took my dog out for a nice long walk around Stonehouse, after visiting the Post Office we walked home over the farm road and had a wonder around the cemetery.

Lauren and I took the dogs out for a wee walk yesterday afternoon and OMG is sooooo cold! -12 is an average temperature these days.

Cannot believe how quickly last year went! Last year was a much better year for us, and I am hoping this year will be even better.
This year I will turn 40, we will have been married 20 years and soon my wee girl will be 10, in all a busy year.

Nearly Christmas

Wow!!!!! How quick does time fly? I cannot believe Christmas is nearly here! Our trees are up (all 3 of them), parcels wrapped and cards written - so quite organised this year.

Our wee dog Sophie needs to go for an operation at the Vet school on 22nd December and then we will pick her up Christmas Eve - I hope she is OK

I have been busy this week putting together the ribbon kit for January - wait till you see it - wow!!

Kaisercraft Star Wreath

AS soon as I saw this wreath on the Kaisercraft site I wanted one!!!

So last weekend Gordon and I started to decorate it (WARNING - do NOT let a 7 year old boy near red paint!!!)

Weekend in Skye

This weekend we went to Skye (the first time since FIL's funeral) and the weather was gorgeous! Lauren and I went on a 2 hour treck, we went away into the hills and the views were amazing.
We visited FIL's grave and the kids had bought some flowers, then went for a drive and a wander.

As I can't wait for this year to be over!

We lost my grampa earlier in the year, a week later DH's cousin passed away and 2 days ago we lost my FIL. He had been in hospital for around 3 weeks. We went up to Skye before Xmas so DH got to say his goodbyes.
We are just waiting to hear when the funeral will be, but we don't think it will before the 5th of Jan.
On top of everything else that happened last year I will be glad to see 2009.

I do have some amazing friends that have been here for me - thank you!!

The kids had a great xmas and Santa brought a Wii - wow how fab are they? I especially like Mario Kart!

Xmas shopping

DH was off work today so we went xmas shopping and oh what fun we had! We spent a lovely hour in a queue in Woolies as they had up to 50% off, really sad that it is closing as we were in and out of there all the time.
Tomorrow am going shopping with my mum and Lauren, my mum always gets some clothes for Lauren at xmas and not the usual Asda clothes that we buy them, lol!

Had a really busy weekend, Friday I had 2 of Lauren's friends over and Gordons (girl) friend - they all had great fun playing.
Saturday morning I went to watch Lauren at her riding lesson and she is coming along really well. Saturday afternoon we went to the Church xmas fair, Lauren was helping out so Gordon and I came home with his (girl) friend and Lauren came home later.
Saturday night we all watched X-factor, the kids just love that although we all want someone different to win.
Sunday I went to the crop in Stewarton with shop in tow and managed to do - wait for it.......................... 1 LO!!!!

Today I have been working on this

This is a Twiddleybitz advent house, I have painted it, added Basic Gret Figgy Pudding papers and a tonne of bling - had so much fun with this! Now it is full of sweeties

This week has just been so busy, loads of new scrummy stash (of which Gordon has his eye on - so far we have a Kaiser tree to do, a Kaiser skull book, Twiddleybitz advent calendar and sleigh and he wanted each of the Maya Road houses!!)

How fab is that, and on the way!! I am going to have fun doing that! We also have a sleigh on order too - yummy!

We also have Life at the Pole now in stock - away to make up a wee kit from those now - this paper is my favourite

Sick kids, scrapping and more

Lauren came home from school on Thursday in tears as she felt so ill, she has a splitting headache and feels very sick, yesterday took her to the doctor who said it was avirus and just to keep giving Calpol, you just feel so sorry for them when they are ill.
So we did not go out all weekend - but seeing as it did not stop raining I was quite glad. So what did we do instead??

Scrapped!! Gordon did a speed scrap in about 5 mins and it is framed to go up in his room, Lauren did one of her and her pals and I did one using November's ribbon kit - have taken a pic but the light is not too great just now.

I have used scrummy Sasafrass papers, thickers, and stamp, Riff raff leaf and ribbons from our November Ribbon kit - available soon!

Yesterday our internet connection died and was not available again until this morning - what a disaster and am so glad it is back on now!

We're Back!!

Well that's us back from holiday - and we had a great time!
Strathyre was lovely and we spent our time climbing hills and walking the dogs - I think they are glad to be home!
We went on a 2 hour dusk Ranger walk which was brilliant, the kids loved it.

We are all packed and ready to go, new lens is in my bag along with 3 memory cards and battery charger, and camera of course!!

We are going to stay here and am so looking forward to it! They have loads of red squirrels and deers. We are taking our dogs with us too, so they will have a ball.

Angel Crafts site will remain open while I am away and orders will be sent when we come back in a week.

I have been busy this week sorting the ribbon kit for December, and boy it is looking scrummy!

We have managed to book another holiday, but have decided to stay in Scotland.

We are going to Strathyre Forest, my brother was there in the summer and said it was lovely, and we get to take the dogs too so we are all happy!

The kids were not happy yesterday though as they said "our school is the only school in Scotland that is open" well hardly but the only one in the area!

Busy loading new stash to the site today from AC albums and thickers to in stitches templates, Bampop and more. All the new Sassafras is now in and will be on the site tomorrow (well maybe not - it is very scrummy!!!!)

We had booked for a week to Lanzarote for the school October week, Sunday travel agent calls to say company we were flying with have gone bust, and they will try to get us another flight.
Today they call and say yes thay have got one and want another £800, err I think not, so holiday is cancelled.

Have been really busy lately, so no time to blog and now my bed is calling....

Had such a busy weekend that I am still playing catch up, on Saturday I went on an organised photo wlk around Glasgow and then for lunch in the Corinthian, it was such a lovely sunny day and I had a ball. This was organised through Scott Kelby and the walks took place in cities all over the world on the same day, I really wnated to go on the New York one, but hey!!

Sunday was our anniversary - 18years!! So we went out for lunch and for a wander around New Lanark - gorgeous!

Kids are back!!

The kids are now back from spending a week at Crieff with my parents and they had a fab if wet time!
Tomorrow they are back at school so I have been busy sorting uniforms and sherpening pencils, lol!!

Catching up

Have been so busy recently, so no time to blog!

Lauren was at summer school all last week, and loved it. She finished at lunchtime each day which meant a drive out to get her, we also got their schhol uniforms, bags, shoes, etc all sorted out for going back a week on Monday. How quick have the holidays flown in?
I traded in my little car recently and was really sad about that, and am getting used to the other one.
Yesterday my parents took my kids and nephew up to Crieff for the week, and I am missing them already!
Hamish and I went out for a lovely meal last night (our anniversary is in a couple of weeks - 18 years) so we decided to celebrate early.
We have also booked another holiday, we are away with the kids to lanzarote for a week in October (need to keep the tan topped up, lol!!!!)

I have loads to do next week, need to get figures to my accountant, do a stock take and tidy up and tend to the garden! Also need to sort out my next crop for September, will be good to catch up with everyone. I have a demo sorted out already!

Back from Holiday

We are now back from holiday, we were in Feurteventura for 2 weeks and it was fab!! We stayed in a gorgeous hotel just off the beach and the weather was amazing. The kids had a great time playing about the pool and beach and the food was great, even if Gordon did insist on a daily dose of pasta, lol!!!

The other day we went looking at cars, my Ford Focus was getting a little tired so time to trade it in. As my last 2 cars have been silver I did not want another that colour. So I have picked a car and will collect in a couple of days and the colour, well it is called Chill, which is errrrr sort of silver, lol!

Where did the week go??

Well that is the first week of the holidays gone, er where exactly??? It has just flown by.
Kids have been busy playing (between rain showers), Gordon's record this week was 4 pairs of shorts in one day, he can't seem to keep away from puddles, lol!
On Friday Lauren went to the pictures with her friend and then they had a sleepover here, and Saturday I took them both to the stables for the day, Lauren is still sleeping which is really not like her.
I have a busy few days before we go on holiday on Wednesday, today need to go to East Kilbride for few bits and pieces, tonight we have friends over for dinner. Tomorrow night our Financial adviser is over to see us and Tuesday will be spent doing last minute packing for us going.
Really looking forward to this holiday, in all it's not been a great year with my grampa not being well and being admitted to hospital and then him passing away. He was such a lovely man, and always there when I needed him, he was like a second dad to me. My hubby's cousin also passed away and together with everything else has made this a not so wonderful year.

Crash, Bang, Wallop

On Saturday Gordon fell off his bike and hit his head against the pavement, he came rushing in with an egg size lump on his forehead. So we had to take him to hospital, his daddy drove while I sat in the back and prodded him to stay awake as he was very sleepy and feeling sick. At the hospital he was checked over and after a few hours we were able to go home
On Sunday our council had arranged a photography class so myself Jenni and Linda went out for lunch and along to that, it was really good, thanks girls for a really fab day xxx

Today I have spent my time making up next month's ribbon kit, entitled "Botanical Dreams" and boy it looks lush!!!

Keep forgetting to update my blog!

Have been busy over the last while, made the mistake of starting to watch Big Brother so that's me totally hooked, LOL!
Went to Stewarton on sat with the shop to a crop - thank you girls for having me, I had a brilliant time!
And I have been busy scraping, I always make little teachers quote books at the end of term, so have finished 1 and 1 more to do.

Lauren has a talk to do at school next week and wants to do it about Gordon, so I said that I would make a wee book for her.

Crop tomorrow and a 12 hour one at that, I think Linda will be taking bets on the number of LO's I do - lots honest!!

Today was DS's assembly at school, they did it on Travelling Ted, it was so good. Both my kids have been out playing loads with this nice weather, poor wee Gordon is covered with bruises and scratches from falling all the time.

Sunday DH was watching football and the kids were happy playing so I scrapped, my mojo went walkabout for a while but has come galloping back, so I did this layout, I have used ribbons from our May Ribbon kit, some gorgeous Fancy pants papers, cut the letters on the Cuttlebug and used Crackle paint on them, and then dusted them with Opal Dust, really had fun with this

Back home and gave the dogs a good brush, our bigger dog Emma is very fluffy and needs brushed every couple of days, here is a pic of her looking gorgeous

Busy Day

Up early this morning to get lauren ready for horse riding, she now spends every saturday from 10-5 at the stables and loves it and comes home filthy!!
A frend picked Lauren up and I nipped to the Post Office with some orders, back home, first load of washing out and decide to do some weeding.
Fill 3 bags with weeds and cut some things back, then in for shower and then chuck Gordon in as well as he has a party to get to, then quick bite of lunch and take Gordon to party.
Then you will never guess what I did when I got back - yes SCRAPPED!!!!!!

Just going out in few mins to get Gordon and pick girls up from stables

I will leave you with the card that I made for Gordon to give the birthday boy, I have used Bampop papers, the single sheets of these will be with us next week, and I have used a Bampop stamp and covered it with stickles, the ribbons are from our April Ribbon kit

We went to Skye at the weekend, 6 hours in the car! All I can say is thank goodness for Nintendos. Lauren and I went for a 2 hour pony treck and boy was I sore the next day, but it was fab, the weather was lovely and we went right up into the hills, the views were amazing!

We went for a nice walk round Portree which ended with ice cream at the pier - yummy!!

Being Busy

Another busy few days, this morning kids and I did our daily trip to the Post Office with all the orders, then out to get MIL a birthday pres. We got her a lovely photo frame so will need to print a pic of the kids to go in it.

Also spent some time finalising May and June's ribbon kit. May's is looking v scrummy, and so is June's, you will just have to wait and see!

This afternoon we watched Neighbours and then I did some school work with Lauren, took dogs for a walk and then the kids went out to play.

............... Sleeping Sickness, OMG I am so knackered.
Normally I am fine on 6-7 hours sleep, but recently have been having 9 hours or so and am just so tired, think I need to take some vitamins

Kids are away at mums for a couple of days, so tomorrow I am ................ wait for it..................................... Stocktaking, sounds like fun eh? errrr not.

Yesterday I went for a riding lesson at the stables that DD goes to, she joined me, and we had a great time. I used to love going when I was wee, and have been meaning to get back to it.

Gordon was sick yesterday afternoon and went to bed early, all well and good.......................
4 this morning............ yip up being sick again, so today I have mostly sat with a small child on my knee who needed big cuddles.
We managed to get him to go for a little sleep, but I am sooooo tired I can hardly think straight.
I think I will be in bed straight after dinner
We were going to see my mum today as it is her birthday but will go tomorrow as the kids are now off for 2 weeks.

What else have I been doing? oh yes, we booked our summer holiday, OMG cannot wait, back to Feurteventura again, the kids loved it last time. We are going to a different hotel this time.

Being Busy

Today I finished off a Layout I started a couple of weeks ago, I have used Scenic Route Lynden papers (wow don't you just love these?) which are reduced on my site until next Saturday (along with loads of other goodies)and ribbons from the April ribbon kit, along with stickles and Pearls.

Our ribbon kit is available with and without a subscription and is Post free and is fantastic value!!!!

Then I made a card, using the scraps from the LO and more goodies from the ribbon kit, I am quite peased with it and hope my mum will like it too (it is her birthday tomorrow)

Am feeling down today as it would have been grampa's birthday today, still cannot believe he is not with us anymore
Lauren has been unwell this week and today Gordon was sick, oh well hopefully they are OK now as they are now off school for 2 weeks

RIP Papa Toe

A couple of weeks ago, my grampa passed away. He was told about 6 weeks before that his heart was starting to fail and a few days after was admitted to hospital. I asked the nurses if I could visit in the morning as I needed to pick the kids up at 3 and could not guarantee that I would be there for 7 with the M8 being as busy as it is. They were fine with this and I went in twice a week to see him, it was nice being just the 2 of us, and we would chat away.
He started to fail fast and one Sunday at 6am we had a call to say to expect the worse, we took the kids in to say bye, sadly he lost his fight on the Thursday. This was the day before the retreat, and my grampa would have wanted me to go, but it was so hard to do so.
I could not tell the kids before I left what had happened so left the retreat early and drove home to tell them, my wee girl was devastated as she was very close to him. The funeral was the following thursday and I did a reading, it was a Humanist service, and was really lovely, Lauren sobbed all the way through. She is still very upset.

So why papa toe???
When Lauren was wee, she had to differenciate between her Papa's , my dad became papa Terry, her daddy's dad became Old Papa, and my grampa who had had a big toe removed became papa no toe, shortened to Papa Toe, he has a friend called Robert who has a wooden leg, so yip he is Robert Leg!!!

We also had more bad news the day after the funeral, my husband's cousin had sadly lost his fight agains cancer, he was 41 and leaves 2 wee kids. The funeral is tomorrow.

We are both devastated by both deaths, but we have each other and our kids to rely on.

Anyway I promise that I will try to keep this blog updated more, and later on will post a pic of the scrummy new ribbon kit we have coming soon

Yip that's been me! what with packing orders, ordering more stash lol, got an email from my favourite company last night saying that their new products were available to order!!! At last, I have been waiting for ages and my stocks are running seriously low, so watch this space for new Hambly!!!!

Sophie is still loving her new food and eating like a wee pig, however we have noticed no change in her, she is still her mad little self. She escaped (again) the other day and walked straight into our neighbours house!!

Camera club is back on again tonight so am going to that.

Little Sophie

Hamish and I took Sophie to the Glasgow vet school on Monday, and they confirmed that with the results of the blood test, there is something wrong with her liver.
We have a number of options
1. Leave well alone- she is not unwell and the fact that she is now fully grown and has had no problems, is a very good sign. However we won't be able to get her done and if she has problems later on, it may be too late.
2, Get a liver scan, she will need a GA, and because she is so tiny, it may not show anything
3. After the scan get a liver bi-opsy and they will inject die to the blood vessels and watch what happens

It just seems such a lot to put her through, in the meantime she is on a special diet, has anti-biotics and a mild laxative so toxins are not staying in her body too long
The vet thinks she may have a liver shunt and with this diet we should see a difference in 3 weeks. The food is very bland and we may have a problem with her eating it - errrr no she has scoffed it!!

What else have I been doing? Packing orders, looking after the kids, and wooo hoo I have a cleaner starting next week!!!
Have you seen the Rouge De Garance papers we have in stock, very yummy.
We also had a load of Australian mags arrive yesterday, and they are flying out the door already.

Not good news

Had a call from the vet today with the results of Sophie's second blood test, and her liver function test was 500 times higher than normal.
The vet had been onto the vet school and they wonder if the blood vessels to her liver have not formed properly and that could account for the fact that 1. she is so tiny and 2. that she has always had a dodgy tummy.

The vet has referred us to the Glasgow vet school and we have an appointment on Monday, they will give her a liver scan and we will take it from there.

Poor wee Sophie

Today my little dog went in to be spayed. At the vet I was offered a blood test to make sure everything was OK, sixth sence made me say yes.
I came home and the vet rang to say that there were a couple of abnormalities in her liver function test, they could not continue with the operation and she had to have another blood test.

Now we have to wait 2 days for the results, am hoping it has just been a blip.

What a bad blogger I am !!!!

Well we came back from holiday a week ago and we had a fab time, but the tans are fading fast, since then I have been busy packing orders and ordering even more stash! Our stocks of Basic Grey arrived today and are going fast and we have some scrummy bazzill shades in stock. Hopefully the Bind-it-alls will be here next week along with the new BAMPOP! collections.
This week we have also received the Cherry Artes Poolside papers and some yummy papers from Stemma, both of these are perfect for your holiday pics.

Yip that is what I have done, OMG I hear you say!!
Also been busy with orders, and finishing of my ECA for the OU course, just got some written work to do, and that is it
But I have been looking into another course to do and have found 1 which looks good, so think I will sign up for that when the kids go back to school.

My kids have been out playing all day with their wee pals, it rained all nigt so the ground is so muddy and they are filthy, and I mean FILTHY, lol!! DS is in the shower right now, and being a typical male he wil be in there for hours.

Our village has a Craft Fair on tomorrow, so I have a table showing yip scrapping, looking forward to seeing other carfts that others do.

Am going to try and keep this up to date.
Did another layout the other night, OMG 2 in 1 week!!!

We are now half way through the first week of the school holidays, the weather has been not too bad, so the kids have been out playing all the time and coming in filthy, the seem to be right little dirt magnets. And their favourite hobby is climbing trees.
Am going to take them to get their school uniforms tomorrow, have got jumpers and polo shirts already, so just need trousers. Shoes can wait till we come back from holiday.

The end of an era

well my baby has finished nursery and in August he will start school, and he is sooooo excited!!
Am I? well I thought I was, but the more I think about it, er no! For the last 7 years I have had 1 child or other in the house during the day, so think it will be a bigger shock for me than for him.

Been really busy this week with packing orders, looking after the kids and making teachers presents, yip kids finish up on Friday.
Gordon starts school in August, and not sure how I am feeling about that, I have been at home with either of them for the last 7 years, so think it will be a big shock to me. On the plus side it means that I will be able to work on the business a wee bit more and not be still working at midnight. I also plan to get back to the gym and get more scrapping done myself. mmmmmm will I achieve any of this do you think? update in September!!!!

And the good news - I was published in Scrapbook Magazine this week, in the readers album page. 4 of my projects were featured and I am over the moon!!!

The lovely Kirsty is up in Scotland this week so am looking forward to catching up with her.

I promise from now on I will update my blog at least twice a week (honest!!!!)

Have been very busy recently, am in the middle of the OU photo course and wow have I learned a lot! From aperature, Depth of Field, ISO you name it!
I even bought myslef a new camera, a shiney Canon Eos 400D, I just got the basic lens but I used to have an old film canon and now I have 3 lenses as the old ones worked. Now have my heart set on a macro lens, wonder what my chance are???

And the bestest news ever............. Lauren passed her level A language at school, she has been struggling a wee bit, so I am chuffed to bits with her!

Well kids went back on Monday, not v happy about it either!

I went back to the gym on Monday and am paying for it now, I ache everywhere.

Kept Gordon off nursery on Tuesday and we went to see my Grampa, or papa Toe as the kids call him (he had to have a toe removed whn Lauren was little so she called him papa No Toe, and it has become papa Toe, lol!)

Today I was busy packing orders and starting to get packed for the crop this weekend, we have Heather teaching a class for us, wait till you see it, v yummy!!!!

Well the kids are now on holiday, weather has not been too bad so they have been out playing. The easter bunny came and they both got a couple of choc eggs and a Pony fun day.

5 years ago I went into hospital and an hour later had a baby boy in my arms, where does the time go? Cannot believe my wee boy is 5 already.

He watched the film Gremlins and had his heart set on his own wee Gizmo (thank you Amazon, lol), have attached a piccy of them cuddling.

On Saturday we are having a party for him and 40 kids are coming along, that will be fun, so if anyone wants to come and help, please do.......................................

Yup that is me after our fabulous Luxurious Angels retreat, it was soooooooo good! The hotel was fab, lovely food, great company, wonderful classes, what more could you want??

I shared a room with Heather and she kept me up half the night talking, hee hee.

I need to say thanks to Roz, for being a great business partner, and yes we ARE having another retreat, watch this space.......
Thanks to Heather for teaching some fab classes and for being such a good if chatty room mate, thanks to Kirsty for coming all that way to teach and for the excellent camera class, loved it!!
Thanks to all the girls for coming along, especially Rod!! And to Clair for supplying some great tunes, we are going to miss you. Thanks to the rest of the girls for making our weekend so wonderful, and here's to the next one!!

Flying out the door

The Hambly rub-ons and Overlays that I ordered are flying out the door, seriously if you want some of these, order now!!!!

My hire car was delivered this morning, and the garage called to say there was a lot more damage to my car than they first thought, and it will be in for at least 2 weeks. They will also valet it and clean it for me too! I must remember that the hire car takes Diesel!

Gordon still has a bit of a sore neck, and Lauren is still very white looking, tired and weepy. At least they are off for a few days next week so can rest a bit.
