Crash, Bang, Wallop

On Saturday Gordon fell off his bike and hit his head against the pavement, he came rushing in with an egg size lump on his forehead. So we had to take him to hospital, his daddy drove while I sat in the back and prodded him to stay awake as he was very sleepy and feeling sick. At the hospital he was checked over and after a few hours we were able to go home
On Sunday our council had arranged a photography class so myself Jenni and Linda went out for lunch and along to that, it was really good, thanks girls for a really fab day xxx

Today I have spent my time making up next month's ribbon kit, entitled "Botanical Dreams" and boy it looks lush!!!

Keep forgetting to update my blog!

Have been busy over the last while, made the mistake of starting to watch Big Brother so that's me totally hooked, LOL!
Went to Stewarton on sat with the shop to a crop - thank you girls for having me, I had a brilliant time!
And I have been busy scraping, I always make little teachers quote books at the end of term, so have finished 1 and 1 more to do.

Lauren has a talk to do at school next week and wants to do it about Gordon, so I said that I would make a wee book for her.
I have used a Cosmo Cricket Blackboard book, BAmpop papers and ribbons from May and June's kits

My mojo for various reasons had gone walk about, but I think it has come back!

Crop tomorrow

Crop tomorrow and a 12 hour one at that, I think Linda will be taking bets on the number of LO's I do - lots honest!!

Today was DS's assembly at school, they did it on Travelling Ted, it was so good. Both my kids have been out playing loads with this nice weather, poor wee Gordon is covered with bruises and scratches from falling all the time.

Sunday DH was watching football and the kids were happy playing so I scrapped, my mojo went walkabout for a while but has come galloping back, so I did this layout, I have used ribbons from our May Ribbon kit, some gorgeous Fancy pants papers, cut the letters on the Cuttlebug and used Crackle paint on them, and then dusted them with Opal Dust, really had fun with this

Today went and got the kids new trainers and Lauren needed new pyjamas, that girl grows like anything!!

Back home and gave the dogs a good brush, our bigger dog Emma is very fluffy and needs brushed every couple of days, here is a pic of her looking gorgeous



Apart from that today I did yet more gardening and packing orders, away now for some dinner

Busy Day

Up early this morning to get lauren ready for horse riding, she now spends every saturday from 10-5 at the stables and loves it and comes home filthy!!
A frend picked Lauren up and I nipped to the Post Office with some orders, back home, first load of washing out and decide to do some weeding.
Fill 3 bags with weeds and cut some things back, then in for shower and then chuck Gordon in as well as he has a party to get to, then quick bite of lunch and take Gordon to party.
Then you will never guess what I did when I got back - yes SCRAPPED!!!!!!

I will leave you with the card that I made for Gordon to give the birthday boy, I have used Bampop papers, the single sheets of these will be with us next week, and I have used a Bampop stamp and covered it with stickles, the ribbons are from our April Ribbon kit

We went to Skye at the weekend, 6 hours in the car! All I can say is thank goodness for Nintendos. Lauren and I went for a 2 hour pony treck and boy was I sore the next day, but it was fab, the weather was lovely and we went right up into the hills, the views were amazing!

We went for a nice walk round Portree which ended with ice cream at the pier - yummy!!

Being Busy

Another busy few days, this morning kids and I did our daily trip to the Post Office with all the orders, then out to get MIL a birthday pres. We got her a lovely photo frame so will need to print a pic of the kids to go in it.

Also spent some time finalising May and June's ribbon kit. May's is looking v scrummy, and so is June's, you will just have to wait and see!

This afternoon we watched Neighbours and then I did some school work with Lauren, took dogs for a walk and then the kids went out to play.

............... Sleeping Sickness, OMG I am so knackered.
Normally I am fine on 6-7 hours sleep, but recently have been having 9 hours or so and am just so tired, think I need to take some vitamins

Kids are away at mums for a couple of days, so tomorrow I am ................ wait for it..................................... Stocktaking, sounds like fun eh? errrr not.

Yesterday I went for a riding lesson at the stables that DD goes to, she joined me, and we had a great time. I used to love going when I was wee, and have been meaning to get back to it.

Knackered!

Gordon was sick yesterday afternoon and went to bed early, all well and good.......................
4 this morning............ yip up being sick again, so today I have mostly sat with a small child on my knee who needed big cuddles.
We managed to get him to go for a little sleep, but I am sooooo tired I can hardly think straight.
I think I will be in bed straight after dinner
We were going to see my mum today as it is her birthday but will go tomorrow as the kids are now off for 2 weeks.

What else have I been doing? oh yes, we booked our summer holiday, OMG cannot wait, back to Feurteventura again, the kids loved it last time. We are going to a different hotel this time.

Being Busy

Today I finished off a Layout I started a couple of weeks ago, I have used Scenic Route Lynden papers (wow don't you just love these?) which are reduced on my site until next Saturday (along with loads of other goodies)and ribbons from the April ribbon kit, along with stickles and Pearls.

Our ribbon kit is available with and without a subscription and is Post free and is fantastic value!!!!

Then I made a card, using the scraps from the LO and more goodies from the ribbon kit, I am quite peased with it and hope my mum will like it too (it is her birthday tomorrow)



Am feeling down today as it would have been grampa's birthday today, still cannot believe he is not with us anymore
Lauren has been unwell this week and today Gordon was sick, oh well hopefully they are OK now as they are now off school for 2 weeks

RIP Papa Toe

A couple of weeks ago, my grampa passed away. He was told about 6 weeks before that his heart was starting to fail and a few days after was admitted to hospital. I asked the nurses if I could visit in the morning as I needed to pick the kids up at 3 and could not guarantee that I would be there for 7 with the M8 being as busy as it is. They were fine with this and I went in twice a week to see him, it was nice being just the 2 of us, and we would chat away.
He started to fail fast and one Sunday at 6am we had a call to say to expect the worse, we took the kids in to say bye, sadly he lost his fight on the Thursday. This was the day before the retreat, and my grampa would have wanted me to go, but it was so hard to do so.
I could not tell the kids before I left what had happened so left the retreat early and drove home to tell them, my wee girl was devastated as she was very close to him. The funeral was the following thursday and I did a reading, it was a Humanist service, and was really lovely, Lauren sobbed all the way through. She is still very upset.

So why papa toe???
When Lauren was wee, she had to differenciate between her Papa's , my dad became papa Terry, her daddy's dad became Old Papa, and my grampa who had had a big toe removed became papa no toe, shortened to Papa Toe, he has a friend called Robert who has a wooden leg, so yip he is Robert Leg!!!

We also had more bad news the day after the funeral, my husband's cousin had sadly lost his fight agains cancer, he was 41 and leaves 2 wee kids. The funeral is tomorrow.

We are both devastated by both deaths, but we have each other and our kids to rely on.

Anyway I promise that I will try to keep this blog updated more, and later on will post a pic of the scrummy new ribbon kit we have coming soon
